Characters:
CORKY: 20s-30s, wife of Norm. Typical SoCal wife. Has been through a lot of marital trouble with Norm and is working on overcoming that. Average looking and quirky.
NORM: 20s-30s, husband of Corky. An average working husband. Has been through a lot of marital trouble with Corky and is working on overcoming that. Nothing particularly exciting or crazy about his personality, but he does have some quirks.
LAURA: 20s-30s, wife of Gerald. Very attractive and she knows it. Manipulative with an enjoyment for causing trouble with and for Gerald.
GERALD: 20s-30s, husband of Laura. “Bad Boy” type. Enjoys causing trouble with Laura. Has a few screws loose but keeps it well hidden.
About the show:
Corky and Norm are excited to host Gerald and Laura at their home in the valley outside Los Angeles to watch a once-in-a-lifetime meteor shower. But as the stars come out and the conversation gets rolling, it becomes clear that Gerald and Laura might not be all that they appear to be. Over the course of a crazy, starlit dinner party, the wildly unexpected occurs. The couples begin to flirt and insanity reigns. Martin, using his trademark absurdist humor, bends the fluid nature of time and reality to create a surprising and unforgettably funny new play.
